The core focus of the role is to continue to develop and implement on growth opportunities within Corporate Finance, with a focus on continuing to support, develop and deliver aspects of the bank’s “ESG ecosystem”, particularly focused on CF, Insto and as relevant assist other divisions. As a senior member of the team, the role will also support the broader IPM, Business Development and Business Execution team in delivering to the Corporate Finance strategy and execution plans as required, including working with Marketing, Comms and ownership of projects and initiatives as required.

Our ES strategy and broader sustainability focus (including growing areas around nature and biodiversity) support our customers in shifting to low carbon business models and operations and improved sustainability outcomes through directing our finance, services and advice into key priority areas and sectors. Our strategy is underpinned by various external commitments and disclosures such as the $100 billion environmental and social sustainability target, 100 of our top emitters transition planning work and our commitment to NZBA and the associated sectorial pathways.

What will your day look like

To work with Corporate Finance and Institutional leadership and key stakeholders to manage, develop, strengthen, leverage and where needed reprioritise our Corporate Finance partnerships, memberships, and subscriptions to better align and deliver on our goals.
To assist in strengthening our brand, by collaborating with diverse external stakeholders across community, government and corporate sectors and actively participating in the market through ANZ’s memberships, partnerships, and associated events.
To help to develop engagement models to improve collaboration and build capability across the wider division and bank including Sectors/Coverage/RMs, Product Specialists and clients.
To help develop our ESG and broader CF platforms for growth (Data, Learning, Investments, Comms/Marketing etc) and work with Industry Partners in driving innovation in their particular sectors.
To work with Insto Capability and other stakeholders to continue to develop and execute on our ESG Capability Building/Knowledge-sharing and Insights goals.
To assist in managing and delivering on our partnership and strategy with Pollination.
To work with the broader IPM and CF team (and key stakeholders including frontline and group ESG) to provide a centralised centre of excellence for Institutional by providing support, expertise and by making recommendations to assist us to manage our various commitments, disclosures (e.g. $100B eligibility criteria, Managing qualification of the centralisation of the LCP discount etc)
