Reporting to the Manager, Program Management Office, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and support to the OCG's whole of office priority program's in relation to program and benefit management and governance. The role will support the project leads of the respective teams by ensuring program and project management principles and benefits realisation are incorporated.
- Build and maintain cohesive and functional relationships across OCG to deliver shared objectives.
- Undertake research, analysis and interpretation of complex issues and opportunities relating to OCG's work program.
- Manage the preparation of timely and well-researched policy papers, briefings, reports and submissions on sensitive and complex issues.
- Support and contribute to effective administrative and statutory processes and business improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining the division's operational reporting database systems.
- Liaise, negotiate and develop effective networks with internal and external stakeholders to prepare information and advice in support of the Unit's work program and desired outcomes.
- Supervise and manage consultants undertaking economic, environmental, probity, infrastructure, planning, financial and legal studies.
- Actively participate in and support the development and implementation of divisional projects or policies and monitor progress and budgets to achieve outcomes.
- Assist in leading program governance principles that enable a clear strategic understanding of priorities, progress, key risks, and issues, thereby enabling timely and confident decision-making
- Assist with the development of project plans with clear communication, to deliver outcomes across the department.
- Support work areas in identifying critical issues, implications, recommendations, opportunities, and priorities to ensure project delivery.
- Represent the Department in meetings and forums as required and establish effective and positive relationships across the Office, department, government and with stakeholders.
- Lead staff and/or multidisciplinary teams as required.
