What will your day look like?
As a Legal Analyst, you will provide paralegal and administrative support to the Markets Legal team. These include:
**Markets Counterparty Hub**: efficiently administer and maintain the Markets Counterparty Hub used by the Markets business. This includes uploading executed agreements and supporting documents, entering and checking relevant metadata and preparing regular and ad hoc reports from the Markets Counterparty Hub.
**Monthly reports**: provide on-going support for the preparation of monthly and ad hoc reports/updates for the Markets business.
**Execution copies**: assist team members to produce execution copies of relevant master agreements.
**Amendment Agreements**: assist with preparation and/or review of amendment agreements with global investment managers and other simple markets related agreements and ancillary documentation.
**Close-out netting workflow**: assist with completing close-out netting reviews in Appian.
**Document management**: assist with updating and loading documents in Confluence, MS Teams and iManage.
Comply with relevant ANZ policies, processes and internal standards.
**Non-Financial Risk**: identify and address risks and opportunities, building non-financial risk skills, engaging in regular discussions, and knowing where to seek support and escalation when needed.
**Strategic objectives**: participate in internal projects and assist the Global Markets business to achieve its strategic objectives.
**Team focus**: provide other ad hoc administrative assistance and support to the Markets Legal team as necessary.

Essential skills
- A highly motivated, organised individual with excellent Microsoft office skills, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise and collaborate effectively with business and team members at all levels.
- Team-focused and customer-focused with a willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
- Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and in a changing environment in an accurate, calm and timely manner with the ability to reprioritise work to meet changing demands.
- An ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment regarding risks and mitigants associated with the various tasks.

Desired skills
- Common sense and an ability to learn on the job.
- General understanding of legal, regulatory, operational and commercial risks relevant to the Markets business, products and customers
- Aptitude for developing a risk radar and has the confidence to speak up and escalate risks appropriately
- Aptitude for developing the ability to work at pace with care
- Some paralegal or legal training or experience would be ideal, although not essential.
