Build a global brands renewable energy development pipeline from scratch - Big funding and growth plans in the Australian Market **About Samsung C&T Renewable Energy Australia** Samsung C&T Renewable Energy Australia Pty Ltd ("SREA") is a renewable energy project development company in Australia and a wholly owned subsidiary of Samsung C&T Corporation, a Korean company specialized in materials trading and renewable energy project developments. Since early 2000, Samsung C&T has developed renewable energy projects in the United States, Canada and Eastern Europe and now has a portfolio over 15GW including one of the world's largest wind and solar energy cluster (1.4GW) in Ontario, Canada. With its success story, Samsung C&T established SREA in 2021 and developing renewable and hydrogen opportunities in order to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to building a green country. **About the role** This position works for managing development of multiple large-scale solar, BESS and hybrid projects mainly in NSW, QLD and VIC. Development activities shall include originating and managing the entire project development such as site selection, land use agreement, project design, environmental assessment, permitting, stakeholder management, selection of EPC & O&M, PPAs and etc. with land acquisition and grid connection managers. This position is responsible for leading projects to reach financial close in cooperation with various teams of Samsung C&T Renewable Energy Australia such as development, technical, legal and financial team. **Responsibilities** - Manage major stages of project development ranging from land procurement to the acquisition of all necessary permits including Development Consent, Construction Certificate, etc. - Involved in land negotiation in collaboration with development and legal team of the company. - Prepare for Development Application and Environmental Impact Assessment. - Build a strong long-term relationship with a variety of external stakeholders including financial institutions, potential buyers for project and off-takers for PPA. - Support future due diligence for projects which will be required to achieve financial close of project. - Manage project development progress and budget, and attend regular progress & budget review meetings. - Actively communicate with the company's various teams and timely share negotiation progress. **Experience & Qualifications** - Experience in renewable energy project development - Thorough understanding of power and renewable energy industry - Knowledge of a complete scope of development of large-scale solar and/or storage projects - Knowledge of key legal documents required for project development including property agreements, service agreements for planning and environmental reports, EPC contracts, etc. - Knowledge with geographic information system software and financial modelling (preferred) - Stakeholder management experience (preferred) - Excellent relationship building skills - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently with pro-active and flexible attitude **How to Apply** 3557261
