Our NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) team is currently seeking to appoint a Community Development Worker within the Southern NSW Community Renewal Team for Delivery South Division. This role is responsible for coordinating the development, implementation and evaluation of the stakeholder engagement component of projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
Our Community Development Worker role involves working very closely with the DCJ Housing community. You will truly get to make a difference to the community through working on innovative projects and delivering programs and activities that will directly benefit some of the most vulnerable in our community.

We are seeking someone who has an understanding of social housing residents and who can appreciate the complexities that come with working with some of the most vulnerable people in our community. We are seeking someone who wants to take this role, make it their own and really make a difference.
**Essential requirements**
- Qualifications in marketing, public relations, communications, community engagement and/or
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement in a property development or infrastructure environment will be an advantage

Future Directions for Social Housing in NSW (Future Directions) sets out the Government’s vision to transform the social housing system over the next 10 years with LAHC playing a critical role in delivering the benefits of this new and innovative model for social housing. A key feature is the Communities Plus program, which is designed to fast-track the redevelopment of LAHC’s social housing portfolio in partnership with the private and community housing sector to deliver significant new and replacement social housing dwellings that are integrated with affordable private dwellings.
