With expanding clientele and a commitment to innovation, they are seeking a passionate individual to join their Governance and Assurance team as a Drinking Water Quality Assurance Lead and promote efficient and productive operations that benefit water quality in the region.
**The opportunity**
This dynamic, business critical role will collaborate with the broader organisation and external clientele to coordinate and deliver key tasks associated with the Drinking Water Quality Management System (DWQMS).
As the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Lead, you will consult with regulatory agencies and stakeholders on problems relating to water quality while following the Framework for the Management of Drinking Water Quality.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintain and improve the Drinking Water Quality Management System on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate and take action related to the Drinking Water Quality Risk Assessments and Improvement Plan.
- Attend Drinking Water Quality Committee meetings and prepare accurate minutes.
- Manage and engage with consultants in accordance with corporate policies and standards.
- Prepare reports relevant to Executive Management and the Board.
- Liaise with stakeholders and regulatory departments on water quality issues.
- Representative on external committees as required.
- Assist the Manager Asset Assurance in achieving team objectives.
**About you**
- Possession of a relevant Engineering or Science degree from a tertiary institution OR an equivalent professional qualification with relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in a field related to water quality and/or water treatment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in working independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Prior experience in maintaining Drinking Water Quality Management Systems.
- Familiarity with and/or understanding of water quality risk assessments.
