An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission as Business Support Officer.

The Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission (the Commission) is an independent body responsible for managing allegations of parliamentary misconduct involving members of parliament, ministers, and parliamentary secretaries.

The Commission can receive, manage, and resolve allegations of parliamentary misconduct and inappropriate parliamentary workplace behaviour. This includes receiving complaints of bullying, harassment, discrimination, victimisation and occupational violence and aggression.

The Business Support Officer provides business and administrative support to the Commissioners and the broader Commission team. Reporting to the Manager, the Business Support Officer is responsible for general administration, coordination and scheduling, diary and inbox management, financial administration, coordination of recruitment, and other administrative activities.

The role will require a high level of competence in the setup and use of organisational systems (including Microsoft Office as well as recruitment, procurement, information sharing and finance systems). You will also be well-organised with great time management skills and attention to detail.

This is a unique opportunity to draw on your experience and set up new systems and processes to support a small team and make a significant contribution in establishing a new integrity commission with oversight of parliamentary workplace standards.

**About you**
- Proven knowledge of government and decision-making, including ability to understand government processes, stakeholders and policies.
- Highly developed planning and organising skills and ability to provide high levels of executive support and to initiate, establish and oversee administrative systems and processes.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, including ability to communicate clearly and adapt style to suit different audiences ensuring clarity in written and verbal exchanges.
- Demonstrated integrity, sound judgement, and accountability in handling sensitive or challenging situations.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to new priorities, circumstances, and ambiguity.
