The Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing (the Collaborative Centre) is seeking a proactive and adaptable Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office, supporting multiple teams, and contributing to a positive and professional workplace culture. The in-office presence is required five days per week at 205 Queensberry St, Carlton.

The Business Support Officer maintains a professional, inclusive, and welcoming environment, supports efficient office operations, effective governance and stakeholder engagement, and coordinates executive priorities and organisational activities. The role contributes to continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and responsiveness. The role is suited to someone who is highly organised, resourceful, and enjoys building relationships across the organisation. About You

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and uphold high standards of accuracy in a dynamic work environment. They will be able to respond to enquiries in a timely, respectful, and customer-focused manner and serve as a professional first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications is preferred. Experience working with people who have lived experience of mental ill-health or psychological distress is preferable. The role requires adaptability to changing priorities and the ability to respond calmly and solutions-focused in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational support across the organisation, assisting multiple teams and maintaining efficient office operations.
  • Support governance, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of executive priorities and organisational activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes.
  • Respond to enquiries in a timely, respectful, and customer-focused manner and act as a professional first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilise Microsoft 365 applications to manage workflows and documentation.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and respond to emerging issues in a calm, professional, and solutions-focused manner.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience (1–3 years) in administrative support, reception, customer service, or office coordination roles.
  • Well-developed administrative and organisational skills, including prioritisation, deadlines, accuracy, and attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to manage competing demands while upholding a high standard of work.
  • Experience providing high-quality front-of-house or administrative support in a professional setting with responsive, respectful stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Experience working with people who have lived experience of mental ill-health or psychological distress is preferable.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work plans while maintaining professionalism.
