As the Project Controller for our Structures department, you’ll work alongside a dynamic team to help deliver on the Maintenance Portfolio inclusive of the Annual Infrastructure Works Program, by scheduling, planning, monitoring and reporting on deliverables and finances.
A key focus of this role will be to ensure the control of cost and compliance with Governance and Finance, so you’ll need to have expert attention to detail to work with the Project Delivery Managers to successfully monitor projects and deliver robust control measures.
To excel in this role you’ll also need to be personable and approachable with excellent stakeholder management skills, as you’ll be providing hands-on support to a wider team of both white and blue collar teams, including Project Managers, Management Team, Delivery Teams and more.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Monitor projects, complying with change management procedures against agreed baseline.-
- Develop resource profiles to identify potential resource clashes.-
- Establish streamlined and integrated tracking, trending, performance, cost, analysis and reporting through related workflows/processes/templates/interface relationships.-
- Deliver robust control measures, enabling monitoring and analysis against commitments and actuals, implementing variance controls to support early identification of deviations.-
- Develop forecasting for the overall programs with Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered within budget allocations.-
- Provide analysis on schedule/project performance, monthly/quarterly reporting to the finance team, management, and on ad-hoc requests.-
- Provide clarity on cost code definitions and budgets, ensuring costs are booked against the correct cost codes.-
- Comply with reporting requirements/deadlines from the Governance and Finance teams.-
- Develop forecasts, budgets, accruals and manage balance sheets with Project Managers.**About you**:
- Financial Accounting, Project Management or Engineering tertiary qualification - mandatory.-
- An expert in MS Excel and other program management software - mandatory.-
- Experienced at stakeholder management.-
- A confident communicator, with a personable and approachable nature.-
- Practical experience in construction or rail industry.-
