About the Role
In this role you will be required to manage and own the responsibility of ensuring that EF BGC risk function is well managed, including embedment of I.AM day 2 activities (working with the Controls Officer and Tester), ensure that risk and issues are managed in a timely/no surprise fashion, ensuring the right metrics are in place to drive the right outcomes and process improvement opportunities.
You will also be the control owner/designer/operator role, such as owning certain finance policies (e.g. Expense, Critical Spreadsheets, etc), and owns the operations of some EF controls such as Business Continuity management, ISENs completion, Expense Policy exceptions and exemptions, UAM reviews, year-end control activities, etc.

What will your day look like?
**Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
Collaborate with KPMG and Internal Audit for efficient audit processes:

- Own and lead the relationship with KPMG and Internal Audit. Liaise with KPMG, Internal Audit, and internal teams on Audit Committee agendas and papers, and act as the key day-to-day contact with Internal Audit, addressing risks and issues
- Coordinate KPMG Audit activities, including collation of AC papers, accounting papers, and engagement letters, and oversee KPMG audit fees and MLPs
- Drive the improvement of the operating model between EF BGC team and KPMG and Internal Audit.

**Leading EF Delivery of Group Risk/Compliance Policy Programs**:

- Own the issue management of compliance programs of work, from taking over with triage teams, to owning the end to end closure of those issues.
- Drive and support Enterprise Finance Business Continuity Management and Coordination
- Conduct Enterprise Finance NFR Maturity Assessments with the NFR Advisory and Reporting team
- Coordinate and complete submissions for 2nd Line annual targeted reviews/sample testing with the Controls Assurance team
- Manage compliance requirements for Enterprise Finance Information Security/Technology framework
- Manage Enterprise Finance Competition Risk Management, including data quality and maintenance of competition registers
- Monitor, report, and remediate compliance issues related to Group Integrity and conduct management (GER).
- Promote continuous process improvement for efficient and sustainable function delivery
- EF Risk Management and Compliance Systems and Data Quality (maintenance, improve, monitor, etc)
- Monitor and close out control and process issues, post-triage by the NFR Advisory, Reporting, and Controls Assurance team
- Complete EF unstructured data User Access Management exercise and review
- Own EF training programs and work with the Strategic Delivery and the Comms teams with delivering those training.
- Manage the period end reporting activities and financial statements preparation activities

EF Policies & Procedures
- Support ownership and maintenance of Group CFC policy documents (being the procedure/policy owner/manager of various policy documents).
- Embedment of NFR into BAU with other EF BGC function and governance teams, including adoption teams

People Management
- Manage and mentor the development of employees, including offshore teams, and serve as a role model for good risk culture and behaviours of the Bank

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Strong understanding and knowledge of writing, administering, and interpreting Policies and Procedures. This role will own some of the key finance policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of the Bank’s NFR framework and requirements, risk and controls. and the tools/systems that we use (e.g. NFR Hub).
- A good level of proficiency in process improvement experience and understanding the types of automation tools (e.g. Knime, PowerBI, Python etc).
- Strong stakeholder management skills, managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project and time management skills
