**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
The Data Analyst will work closely with evaluators within the centre and support evaluation activities from start to finish contributing to the development of evaluation plans, conducting fieldwork, analysing quantitative and qualitative data, writing reports, and disseminating findings.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Assist with quantitative and qualitative analyses of data (eg, custom surveys, national and international surveys, administrative data, interview transcripts) to implement evaluation plans for major and high-profile Government and departmental initiatives.
- Build collaborative and productive relationships with team members working on projects to achieve agreed evaluation outcomes.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to contribute to the preparation of high-quality evaluation reports to ensure they meet the standard required for peer-reviewed publications.
- Assist in providing responsive, accurate and timely advice on evaluation projects and research proposals to a range of audiences to facilitate their completion to the standard required.
- Foster sustainable partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to gain their support and commitment to the Department's evaluation projects.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Knowledge of applied statistics.
- Experience working with data analytics languages like R, Stata, and SPSS.
- Valid Working with Children Check for paid employment.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.
