At Kraken Technologies we’re looking to revolutionise the energy system to make power cheaper, greener and better for people around the world. Our tech platform ‘Kraken’ is already licensed to support 60 million customer accounts in 9 countries, and we aim to serve 100 million globally by 2027.

Our Technology Team has grown extremely quickly as a result, tripling in size within the last 18 months. With this rapid growth, we are looking for a proactive Subject Matter Expert to join our team and work with our developers & Product Groups, ensuring what they do has the highest impact for our customers.

We need someone able to ensure our developers are working optimally towards our unified mission. You’ll need to be a self-starter: someone who sees a problem and can’t help but want to fix it You’ll be well organised, working methodically and clearly to ensure projects go from inception to completion. We put the customer first wherever we are in the business and work empathetically with one another to deliver the best possible outcomes.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Subject Matter Expert with a deep understanding of the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) energy supply market in Australia to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Kraken Customer Product, specifically focusing on the needs and requirements of C&I energy suppliers and their customers within your region. You will be the voice of the C&I customer within Kraken, ensuring that our product roadmap delivers solutions that address their unique challenges and opportunities.

**What you'll do**:

- **Regional Market Expertise**:Maintain expert-level knowledge of the C&I energy market within Australia and APAC, including market trends, regulatory changes, customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the specific nuances of Australian and APAC market.
- **
Customer Advocacy**:Be the primary point of contact for understanding C&I customer needs within APAC region and translating them into actionable product requirements. Conduct user research, interviews, and workshops to gather insights.

Product Vision & Strategy**:Define and champion the product vision and strategy for the C&I segment within APAC region within the Kraken Customer Product, aligning it with the overall Kraken Technologies strategy.
- **
Product Roadmap Development**:Collaborate with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to develop and prioritize the product roadmap for C&I features and functionalities in APAC region. This includes defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritizing features based on business value and customer impact.
- **
Product Ownership**:Own the product backlog for C&I related features, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and reflects the needs of the market and our clients within APAC region.
- **
Stakeholder Management**:Effectively communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, sales, marketing, and clients within APAC region.
- **
Go-to-Market Support**: Work closely with the go-to-market team to ensure successful product launches within APAC region, including developing marketing materials, training sales teams, and supporting client onboarding.

Performance Analysis**:Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations for future development.

Collaboration**:Work closely with other product owners, engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration and alignment across the Kraken platform.

Competitive Analysis**:Monitor and analyze competitor offerings in the C&I energy space within APAC region to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.

**What you'll need**:

- Extensive experience in the C&I energy supply market within either APAC or Australia, preferably in a product management, business analysis, or consulting role.
- Deep understanding of C&I energy procurement, billing, customer service, and related processes within APAC or Australia.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable product specifications.
