**The Role**
You will be part of a team accountable for the design, development, accreditation and operational upkeep of critical cyber systems and supporting secure infrastructure, providing an environment that facilitates rapid and unique research activities.
Under guidance you will engage with stakeholders to ensure you provide timely and suitably accredited systems to meet dependent work package requirements.
You will maintain an ongoing understanding of current technical and operational security risks and implement mitigation strategies as required to ensure the integrity of the research activities and systems across a wide range of security disciplines.
**About our Team**
Cyber Integration STC is part of the Cyber Operations MSTC within the Information Sciences Division. Our team researches, develops and implements capabilities to support, link and integrate cyber infrastructure, systems and capabilities across Defence and commercial platforms, to support the critical cyber research teams.
Our primary responsibilities include developing and operating highly classified bespoke and complex systems, labs and facilities to enable safe and secure research activities to meet the needs of the Cyber and Intelligence capabilities and programs. Our team is uniquely positioned to engage and support a wide range of research activities and has a wide breadth of responsibilities requiring agile and adaptable team members.
You will have a demonstrated aptitude and passion for developing complex, highly secure and flexible cyber terrain to underpin cyber security research activities in specialized high security environments.
You will have the following competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to design and operate highly classified secure cyber systems utilising Windows, Linux, and suitable tools to meet accreditation needs.
- An understanding of the complexity and inherent susceptibilities of current cyber systems.
- Ability to think conceptually, to structure, analyse and solve complex problems through sound research and engineering practices.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work in a cross disciplinary team, with a well-developed ability to interact with, and elicit requirements from stakeholders (whether they be fellow DSTG scientists, RTO, ASD or other Intelligence agencies).
- A willingness to take personal responsibility to deliver outcomes, meet tight timeframes and be flexible to participate in some out of hours work (as required).
