**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for a **Work Health Safety Consultant** to join our human resources team at ReturnToWorkSA on a part time basis at 0.4 FTE.

This role ensures that RTWSA System of Safety is aligned with the principles and processes of ISO 45001 and is effective in delivering on our human resources risk appetite of zero harm.

**The Role**:

- Drive the development and implementation of initiatives to achieve RTWSA’s WHS strategy
- Report regularly to Manager HRS and EL People & Communications on progress against plans and recommend actions
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the RTWSA System of Safety Framework
- Manage development and implementation of a schedule of compliance reviews, audits and workplace inspections including corrective actions
- Deliver regular reporting on WHS performance against targets
- Drive continuous improvement of RTWSA System of Safety through the plan, do check and act methodology of ISO45001
- Regular review of emergency response plans and hazard and risk registers
- Preparation of annual WHS assurance reporting for the RTWSA Board
- Develop, manage and monitor WHS Program: Regular training needs analysis
- Support and guide the Health and Safety (HS) Committee, HS representatives, first aiders and fire wardens
- Lead and appropriately manage workplace injuries to facilitate stay at work or ensure the best recovery and return to work outcome
- Tertiary qualification in Work, Health and Safety or equivalent expertise and knowledge
- Qualified Return to Work Coordinator
- Experience providing advice to managers and leaders to manage risk, develop solutions and promote workplace health and safety
- Ability to take a pragmatic and commercial approach to address hazards and incidents
- Experience delivering work health and safety improvement initiatives
- Experience in claims management and managing workplace injuries in a registered insurance environment
- Experience developing, maintaining and monitoring WHS and IM reporting, including detailed analysis and recommendations
- Experience with Tableau or other reporting tools (desirable)
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to minimise business risk
- Ability to articulate and provide advice on complex concepts and services

**What we offer**:
The total remuneration package for this position is starting from $99,003 full time equivalent (inclusive of superannuation).
