**Your new company**
Seeking an opportunity to showcase your knowledge and initiatives around Work Health & Safety practices? We have an opportunity for you to advance in your WHS career with a South Australian State Government Department on a temporary contract. This position is a 3-6 month contract with a potential for extension and has WFH flexibility

**Your new role**
Reporting into the Manager of WHS, you will be responsible for the provision of Health and Safety advice and providing your consultancy services to internal stakeholders within the Department. You will contribute to the development and implementation of WHS & Injury Management Policies and Safety management systems that ensure the department meet all WHS legislated obligations as well as providing effective consultation advice to continuously improve in the Work Health Safety and Wellbeing.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of various WHS policies, procedures and processes for the Department.
- Promote the awareness of WHS&IM responsibilities amongst managers and employees.
- Assist in the investigation of hazards and incidents and implementation of preventive action.
- Conduct internal audits and monitor corrective actions.
- Provide specialist advice and assistance to managers, workers, WHS Committees, health and safety representatives on all Work Health and Safety/ Injury Management issues.
- Support internal stakeholders in effective injury management outcomes
