You are a forward thinking, long term planner with proven ability to influence. You can successfully implement processes, and have prior experience in forecasting, scheduling, budget adherence and reporting within a workforce management system. You have a passion to build key relationships internally to achieve successful outcomes for the customer, the co-worker and the business. You are willing to challenge for clarity and understanding, to influence change, be competent in negotiation and to work with and across the entire business to secure consistency in communication and execution. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required for this role, and the ability to analyse complex data to make it simple and understandable for your stakeholders. You have experience using a time-keeping system, preferably Kronos. You will be available to full time hours, this role is 76 hours per/fortnight.

**Responsibilities**:
As the Unit People Planning Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Implementing the people planning strategy at a unit level, following principles/ guidelines as localised by the country People and Culture Team.
- Managing the full function of the store staffing optimisation process from forecasting to the execution of the schedule by posting schedules in a timely manner.
- Ensuring adherence to IKEA’s employment standards and legal requirements relating to People Planning.
- Collaborating with the Unit recruiting team to ensure vacancies are filled with the appropriate contract and availability to ensure the best possible customer meeting.
- Identifying possible improvements in the unit people planning process and escalate any potential deviation when the scheduled or actual hours exceed the agreed financial framework.

Together as a team

Together the People & Culture team supports the delivery of the People & Culture Action Plan, People & Culture idea and the IKEA Business Operations by working in conjunction with all business functions and co-workers in store. With a key focus on IKEA co-workers, customers and the IKEA business, a pivotal role with this function lies in securing the co-worker experience, supporting leaders to ensure their teams are equipped with the knowledge and resources to create a better everyday life for the many people.

Additional Information

This opportunity is a temporary 12 months, full time contract 76 hours per/fortnight.
