General Site Supervisors

Meriton has designed, developed and built close to 80,000 award winning apartments and some of the tallest residential towers across the east coast of Australia. We are looking for an experienced and highly organized **General Site Supervisor** to assist our Site Project Manager in leading our site operations and help deliver our projects to the highest standards.

**Job Summary**:
The General Site Supervisor will work with the Site Project Manager to oversee all aspects of site operations ensuring a safe, productive, and efficient work environment. The role involves coordinating with key personnel, managing site teams, and liaising with project stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will oversee safety procedures, track progress, and ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with industry regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Liaise with Key Personnel**: Directly reporting to the Site Project Manager, and communicating with WHS Manager, and site WHS Officer to ensure project requirements are met.
- **Team Management**: Oversee and delegate tasks to Structural and Finishing Supervisors, Site Engineers, Leading Hands, Site Cadets, Labourers, and Traffic Controllers.
- **Coordination with Stakeholders**: Work closely with Architects/Engineers, Government Agencies, PCA, and other consultants throughout the construction process.
- **Safety and Productivity**: Ensure a safe and productive site environment. Regularly inspect construction sites to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
- **Program Development**: Work with the Project Manager to develop a project schedule and set goals to meet the required timelines.
- **Tracking and Reporting**: Monitor project progress, track goals, and report any potential delays to the Project Manager.
- **Site Documentation**: Complete, track, and monitor Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and site reports throughout all project stages.
- **Problem Solving**: Address any questions or concerns regarding the project and provide solutions or feedback to improve the process.
- **Scheduling and Coordination**: Assist with the coordination, management, and scheduling of job activities, ensuring site amenities, facilities, and equipment are in place and well-maintained.
- **Material and Equipment Coordination**: Help coordinate deliveries of materials, plant, and equipment and manage crane and material handling as per the job schedule.
- **Compliance Inspections**: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with legal requirements, construction processes, and safety procedures.
- **Improvements**: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance project efficiency and safety.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Site Supervisor in multi-residential buildings or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety standards, and relevant legal regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks while maintaining quality and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Experience with construction scheduling software and project tracking tools.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., WHS, First Aid, etc.) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
