**The Opportunity**

Based out of the Dandenong South office, you will report to the Operations Manager where you will contribute to the company's performance by coordinating and optimising purchasing activities and associated processes to ensure the most cost-effective provision of daily raw material requirements in response to our customer and factory needs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Inventory control, stock take and stock movements between sites
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategies
- Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
- Managing supplier relations, DIFOT, timelines, etc.
- Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
- Coordinating with Production to determine and manage inventory needs.
- Preparing cost estimates and managing department budgets.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Compile data from a variety of sources for analysing.
- Develop and recommend strategies for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and monitoring of purchasing processes.

**About You**
- 3+ years of experience in procurement and/or purchasing.
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management (Highly Desirable)
- In-depth knowledge of procurement and sourcing
- Demonstrated process improvement experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software or ERP Systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- The ability to be autonomous and take ownership
