Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) provides stewardship of the marine environment to ensure safe, clean seas in Queensland by managing the safe and environmentally sensitive movement of vessels in Queensland's waters.
**MSQ comprises of five key Sections including**: - Maritime Assets and Infrastructure
- Maritime Operational Support
- Policy, Planning and Regulation
- Port Operations and Vessel Traffic Services
- Waterways Management.
The purpose of the Principal Manager (Executive Services, Strategy and Governance) is to: - Lead the development and implementation of strategy, governance and planning frameworks that enable MSQ to clearly define and communicate performance and effectiveness. Lead and manage the Executive Services (parliamentary and correspondence) and social media teams and work programs. Lead and manage business functions of the Office of the General Manager (OGM) and provide leadership and guidance to the OGM team. Support MSQ's Executive Leadership Team, at an individual and group level, in the provision of policy and strategic advice to meet organisational objectives of safe vessels, safe vessel operations, and pollution prevention and response.
