**About The Role**:
Working from our BSP HQ, and reporting to our Managing Director (VIC-based), you will find yourself collaborating heavily with our passionate Leadership team, inspiring, innovating and pivoting to ensure a profitable business that delivers on its unique customer promise.
In leading and collaborating with our Department Leaders, more specifically, you will make a positive impact in the following strategic areas:
- Continue to grow the reach and depth of the BSP business.
- Continue to grow the overall profitability of the BSP business.
- Continue to grow the strength of the BSP brand.
- Continue to grow and develop the customer offerings for BSP.
- Ensure the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of the BSP operations.
- Ensure appropriate risk management systems and processes are in place.
- Ensure the individual businesses are sustainable.
In consulting heavily with our Managing Director and Department Leads, the General Manager role is accountable and responsible for the following:
- Accountable for the day-to-day financial decisions that are in-line with budgets, forecasts and strategic plans.
- Accountable for consulting with the Manager Director for any significant financial decisions for BSP.
- Accountable for day-to-day marketing decisions and customer outcomes of BSP within approved marketing plans.
- Accountable for the development and maintenance of BSP systems, processes, procedures and disciplines.
- Accountable for all day-to-day people decisions and activities in the BSP business.
**About You**:
This is a diverse and dynamic role where you will contribute to the growth of our business through effective strategizing, planning, and good financial management. You will have a high degree of business and financial acumen, understand brand equity and be passionate about our brand and the core market.
You will be curious about identifying efficiencies and opportunities and be effective in using your team to bring this to life.
Continuous improvement and developing innovative solutions is your ‘jam’ and adapting to different environments to help you achieve in your role doesn’t frighten you.
You will enjoy passionate conversations with your colleagues, using these opportunities to demonstrate a proactive, results-driven approach to problem-solving.
- 5+ years in Leadership role, ideally in a Food Production or Retail landscape.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality control that does not compromise efficiencies.
- Pride in our brand and workplace, and in the understanding that your role has an impact on the success of our business.
- Curiosity to build, maintain and contribute toward healthy teamwork and collaborative working relationships.
- Ability to commit to a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover.
- Exceptional communication skills described as clear, professional, authentic and concise.
