**Workforce Planning Superintendent**

We are on the lookout for an experienced Workforce Planning Superintendent for our client who is a leader in transportation and a key link in the WA economy. You'll be joining a global business with facilities located in Fremantle and onsite parking.

This is a key operational focused role reporting to the Operations Manager with full support from the HR Manager. It's a fast paced, energetic working environment where you'll be working to tight deadlines in filling orders and allocating labour resources.

Fully supported by a National Workforce Manager, you'll need to have a solid understanding of operations and the allocations of labour in a blue collar environment.

The responsibilities of this role are very broad, and include:

- Manage all labour resource allocations for new and existing orders
- Maintaining schedules, personnel rosters and databases
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders in relation to work schedules and labour requirements
- Manage all the leave and absences for assigned resources including availability of all employees
- Provide advice to the operations team regarding the efficient deployment of staff with in operational and budgetary constraints
- Tracking and reporting on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to support decision making regarding operational labour utilization, manning and skills levels
- Coordinate any disciplinary matters and industrial relations issues in relation to labour availability and absences in consultation with the HR Manager
- Ensuring the payroll system accurately reflects actual work completed and all leave accruals
- Approval of fortnightly payroll

You will also need to have an understanding of payroll allocations, leave entitlements, rostering, work scheduling, and labour costings, with an eye for efficiency, finances and attention to detail. Excellent excel skills are a must but you don't have to have worked in the transportation industry to be considered.
