Analyst

**The Opportunity**:
Cutfield Freeman & Co (“CF&Co”) are looking for an Analyst to join our mining finance advisory team in our newly opened office in Perth.

You will be part of our global team of 15+ mining finance professionals, advising on transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project and corporate finance, and corporate and debt restructuring.

You will be involved throughout transactions, working as part of the relevant deal team. As an Analyst, the initial focus will be on financial analysis (including financial models), document preparation (pitches, information memoranda, board presentations) and co-ordination of third party contacts. As part of a close-knit team there is the opportunity to increase responsibility rapidly in line with experience and performance, as well as international travel - including the opportunity to relocate to CF&Co’s other offices (most likely to our London head office).

**Introduction to CF&Co**:
CF&Co is an independent financial adviser, specializing in the metals and mining sector. CF&Co operates globally with offices in London, Toronto, Hong Kong and Perth. The London office is led by Peter Freeman (Chief Executive Officer) and Nick Ransley (Managing Director) with a combined 70 years of experience in the mining finance business.

Founded in 2000 as the successor to a similar business, Warrior International (founded in 1989 and sold to Standard Bank in 1997), we have a 20+ year track record with over 200 mine finance transactions. CF&Co has executed mandates covering all aspects of project finance, joint ventures, and M&A - with transactions ranging from
US$3bn.

**Analyst Role**:
The responsibilities include:

- Financial modelling/financial analysis, including valuation, comparable & relative valuation analysis and market-specific analysis.
- Analysing a broad range of corporate finance transactions including capital structure, project development, acquisitions, mergers, capital market refinancing and strategic alternatives.
- Drafting and reviewing solicitation materials and other documentation including pitches, teasers, information memorandums, management presentations, etc.
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative industry and company research.
- Assisting the team in all marketing activities including the development and continued cultivation of new and existing client relationships.
- Attending client meetings, industry conferences, and external training sessions.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree from a leading university, preferably in finance (or similar).
- Post-graduate training, either a Masters’ degree in Finance (or similar) or CFA certification.

**Experience, Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication skills
- Strong financial modelling skills required
- Well organised, detailed and able to work within tight time frames
- Team player, capable of working in cross-border deal teams
- Strong creativity and intellectual curiosity

**Right to Work**:

- Australian citizenship or permanent residence in Australia required.

**Remuneration**:

- A$80,000 - 100,000
