**Your opportunity**
Exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic **Payroll Administration Officer** to join our established operation team on a 6-month fixed term contract, view to extend based in Parramatta (flexible work arrangements).
This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in all aspects of Payroll within a supportive and dedicated team. This role will be varied, where you will perform all payroll related transactions across the employment life cycle with tasks consisting of accurately creating, entering, processing, and validating data in the HRIS for fortnightly payroll completion.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure appropriate supervision and management of Payroll staff including but not restricted to, annual performance reviews and the provision of day-to-day support.
- Ensure payments to employees and staff are made accurately and on time as per letters of appointment, Awards and legislative requirements.
- Interpret Industrial Agreements such as Awards, Certified Agreements, Letters of Appointment etc.
- Ensure maintenance of all relevant leave and overtime reports.
- Provide advice to Managers and all staff on payroll issues.
- Maintain and implement up to date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation.
**About you**
- A minimum 2 years’ experience in successfully processing end-to-end payrolls within a large organisation (2500 employees +).
- Experience processing fortnightly pays including multiple payruns.
- Experience with interpretation of awards and agreements in Australian work environment.
- Knowledge of Long Service Leave legislation in all Australian states and territories.
- Knowledge with ATO, Centrelink, The Child Support Agency and Superannuation clearing houses.
- Excellent computer literacy including use of excel as an analytical and reporting tool.
- Experience using Chris21 Payroll & Riteq time and attendance system desirable.
- Current Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) Clearance
- Be willing to provide a confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1, 2 & booster)
- Be willing to undergo a national police check
