In this national role, based in Sydney, you will provide assistance in the processing and recording of the centralised Payroll function to ensure that all employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner and that all payments are correctly accounted for to the relevant stakeholders.

This role will also support the HR Operations Teams spread across the Group in the efficient administration of human resources policies and processes, compilation and generation of reports, training administration support and information recording.

**Key responsibilities of the role;**
- Responsible for collation, processing, accounting, and payment of remuneration (wages, salaries, commission, bonuses, superannuation) for all operation units of Sime Darby Motor Group Australia.
- Ensure timely completion of all other payroll related tasks including all returns as required by the ATO and other government departments, fortnightly & monthly reporting and reconciliations as required
- Responsible for PAYG and Payroll Tax payments in timely and accurate manner
- Responsible for Superannuation reconciliation, notifications of allocations and choice of funds.
- Ensure accurate Award interpretation in Time and Attendance programmes
- Manage ongoing maintenance of information in HR and Payroll systems and provide data
- Meet relevant reporting requirements and requests for information from Sime Darby Head Office in Kuala Lumpur
- Provide timely and accurate answers to payroll queries from Sime Darby Motor Group employees
- In charge of updating policies and procedures to reflect new initiatives, business issues or legislative changes
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong problem solving ability
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Minimum of 5 years experience processing large payrolls from end to end
- Intermediate to Advanced skill with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Understanding of payroll related legislation for Australia, with some knowledge of the impact of such legislation on payroll practices and processes with Sime Darby Motor Group NZ/AU
- Experience using PayGlobal
