**The Role**:
Under the supervision of the Head of Unit, the Surgery Registrars will be responsible for assessing, planning, providing ongoing treatment, and discharging General Surgery patients. You will also assist in the daily supervision of Interns and/or HMOs and participate in the education and supervision of Medical Students.

**The Hospital**:
Dating back to 1804, this hospital is Australia's second oldest and a significant clinical teaching and research center, working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides acute, sub-acute, mental health, and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of approximately 240,000 people. With 550 physical beds, the hospital has 460 acute overnight beds and 90-day beds.

**The Requirements**:

- On RACP training program
- Hold the FRACP
- IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
- IMG's with RACP interview date
- IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially or partially comparable.
