**The Hospital**:
This is Australia's second oldest hospital opening in 1804, and is a major clinical teaching and research centre working closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The hospital provides acute, sub acute, mental health and aged care inpatient and ambulatory services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds.

**The Role**:
The Surgery Registrars will be responsible, under the supervision of the Head of Unit, for assessment, planning, ongoing treatment and discharge of General Surgery patients. In addition, you will assist with the responsibility of the daily supervision of relevant Interns and/or HMOs and participate in Medical Student education and supervision.

**The Requirements**:
You must hold Registration with AHPRA.
