Community Engagement Officer

We have an opportunity for a proactive **Community Engagement Officer** to join our vibrant Communications and Customer Experience team.
This role will make a difference and help Council to join with the community to make the Tweed better tomorrow than it is today.
**About the role**:
- Works collaboratively with internal business partners to meet Council’s consultation commitments and ensure the Tweed community can contribute to decisions that affect their future.
- Improves the way Council engages with the Tweed community and increases participation in Council’s community engagement activities.
- Coordinates Council's corporate engagement methods including the online engagement website, Your Say Tweed, Community Conversations and events.
**What's on offer**:
- An attractive base salary ranging from $75,686 per annum with competency-based increments up to $89,651 per annum, plus 10.5% super.
- 35 hour week, 9 day fortnight.

**We are seeking**:
A positive and enthusiastic team member with:
- excellent interpersonal, written communication and problem solving skills
- experience in developing, delivering and evaluating effective community consultation
- experience in growing online communities and managing digital engagement platforms
- excellent time management and a flexible approach.
