Seeking an Environmental Planning and Policy Officer with expert knowledge in the fields of biodiversity assessment, management and planning including the ability to address and resolve complex environmental problems.

**We are seeking**:

- Minimum degree level qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Natural Resource Management or equivalent.
- Understanding and experience in environmental planning and policy development.
- Technical knowledge and experience in natural area management, restoration, ecological processes and plant and animal management.
- Ability to manage projects and the capacity to supervise staff, consultants and contractors.

**Essential**:
1. Minimum degree level qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Natural Resource Management or equivalent.
3. Demonstrated experience in environmental policy development including LEP and DCP preparation
5. Well-developed knowledge of, and ability to identify, local flora and fauna including their habitats, threatened species and endangered ecological communities and threatening processes.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and their associated budgets.
7. Demonstrated capacity to engage and supervise staff, consultants and contractors.
8. Demonstrated practical experience in field surveys, environmental assessment and preparation of ecological restoration and management plans.
9. Demonstrated high level written and oral communications skills.
