**About the role**

We are currently recruiting for a Vegetation Officer, Murwillumbah.

As a Vegetation Officer, you'll support our Vegetation Management program by conducting audits, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and engaging with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. Your expertise in arboriculture and utility vegetation management will be essential in maintaining our network and meeting customer needs.

The Vegetation Officer will provide dedicated support and assistance to the Senior Program Supervisor and the Senior Vegetation Program Officer roles in delivering the Vegetation Management program across assigned geographical areas in a timely, quality and compliant manner.

**_Some key responsibilities of the Vegetation Officer position will include: _**
- Responsible for assigned routine audits of completed vegetation inspections, treatment and works in progress to verify performance against agreed work plans and ensure compliance with contractual, safety, environmental, customer and quality standard (e.g. AS4373)
- Responsible for initiating applicable reporting of work that does not comply with contractual, safety, environmental, customer and quality obligations
- Provide assistance to the Senior Program Supervisor Vegetation Operations and Senior Vegetation Program Officers in monitoring performance against agreed work plans and actively assist in the incident investigation process as requested

**About You**
- You are an experienced professional in utility vegetation management and arboriculture practices, with a solid understanding of electricity distribution networks.
- Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders.
- You are detail-oriented, capable of conducting accurate assessments, and committed to safety and quality standards.

**Required Qualifications**
- Certificate III in Arboriculture (Works Coordinator specialisation) or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.Driver’s Licence
