Exciting new position at Council that coordinates the provision of community wellbeing outcomes through community development, with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. The position also supports the management of hall committees, asset maintenance, and renewal and sustainability of community buildings.

**About the role**:

- Lead a team of professional community development practitioners and administrators who support a range of community sectors and vulnerable groups in the Tweed.
- Monitor the Shire for emerging social issues and needs, and determine and prioritise appropriate action.
- Ensure efficient coordination of resources and delivery of community development programs, and sustainability of community facilities.
- Responsible for the operational management and activation of community buildings in the Unit's portfolio, and the contractors that service the buildings.

**We are seeking**:

- Degree level qualifications in a relevant discipline or extensive previous experience.
- Experience in supervising and developing professional teams.
- Experience in working with community groups and vulnerable cohorts.
- Ability to work strategically across diverse projects and complex social issues.
- Strong budget and financial management skills.
