Maintenance Manager

Plan, Execute and Review all aspects of the site Mechanical Integrity and Maintenance Programs for site. Identify and Execute Capital expenditure requirements for continuing operation of the plant.

**This Position Reports To**:Site Manager

**Summary of role**:

- Plan, Execute and Evaluate effectiveness of maintenance activities
- Control Maintenance Expenditure to agreed site budget
- Manage Staff and Contractors in line with company and site policy
- Provide Safety Leadership in the field to Production and Maintenance Personnel

**Maintenance Planning**
- Liaise with vendors to identify and purchase suitable plant supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate the repair, transport and storage of rotable spares
- Liaise with Finance on order/ invoice queries
- Communicate the planned activities of the maintenance team to the production and logistics teams on site.
- Supervise and plan all the regular work of the site maintenance team (including multi-skilled employees and contractors) based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel. Take action to protect the integrity and reliability of the plant without prior approval (within appropriate limits).
- Refresh and recover the maintenance standard onsite, manage the maintenance-associated recovery efforts through the sourcing and detailed supervision of contract labour where appropriate, in addition to interaction with successful bidders for capital project work to ensure their work scope and work quality is compatible with the continued maintenance of the plant.
- Participate in, and provide visible leadership within, the Site leadership team as relates to the overall improvement of operational and maintenance standards in the plant.
- Work with Production Manager and Team Leaders to ensure maintenance priorities are agreed and acted upon in a manner consistent with the site's risk management strategy.
- Identify, Plan and Execute capital programs for the site.
- Maintain long term capital expenditure plans to ensure risk is minimized.

**Administrative Tasks**
- Maintain MEX maintenance system
- Develop and Monitor KPI's Indicating performance of the Site Maintenance and Capital Programs
- Complete Global MI reporting as required
- Maintain Site Capital Requirements Register

**About you**:
**Education/ Qualifications Requirements**:

- Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting or Electrical Fitting
- Certificate IV in Front Line Leadership **or**:

- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering

**Personal Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in SAP creation of purchasing requisition (Desirable)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Administrator level skills in MEX or similar Maintenance Package
- Demonstrated superior level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain high level of accuracy in data entry
- Demonstrated high level of communications skills
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance leadership role
- Initiative, pro-active, can do attitude, team player.
