**Role description**:
This role will be responsible for:

- Management of strategic pursuits and proposals.
- Improve the consistency, quality, and outcome of the pursuit processes, particularly for high-value/high-importance major opportunities.
- Management of proposal processes with a view to increasing strike rate and margin.
- Ensuring the preparation of proposals is of a consistently high standard, and in accordance with best practice proposal strategies.
- Working with the broader sales and growth team to enable more efficient proposal preparation throughout Australia.

The Pursuits and Proposals Manager role reports directly to the Commercial Enablement Manager - Australia.

**Role accountabilities**:
The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

- For major pursuits, provide assistance in strategy and planning processes such as:

- gathering market and project intelligence
- assist in assembling teams, using both internal resources and external partners
- preparing organizational charts
- organizing and facilitating pursuit meetings and strategy workshops
- participating in and contributing to strategy discussions for specific pursuits and then helping to deliver that strategy.
- Provide oversight into the quality and consistency of our proposals, taking into account lessons learned to improve strike rates, and improving our compliance with best-practice proposal strategies.
- To look for and drive improvements in our proposal management processes ensuring any best practices are filtered back to the business and the sales team.
- To write compelling non-technical elements and assist with technical elements of proposals as required.
- Contribute to sales meetings with Pursuit Managers and Business Leaders as required.
- Exposure to and engagement with Clients in pursuit (in concert with the Pursuit Managers), including during the proposal period and via post-submission debriefs to be able to continuously improve our proposal strategies.
- Contribute to developing a high-performing team in Manila to support the business, including providing feedback, proposal reviews, coaching, and guidance.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Ability to work as part of a team (including the ability to influence and work with the business to get things done).
- Knowledge of Arcadis or consulting engineering pursuit processes
- Experience in the support and execution of major pursuit processes
- Well-organized with a high level of attention to detail
- Professional approach and presentation to clients (internal/external)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent influencing and relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to develop a business network
- Responsiveness and receptive agility
