Permanent Full Time Opportunity - 38 hours / 5 days per week ( Work hours: Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:06pm))

The Role

The Health Information Services (HIS) department is seeking a professional, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Medical Record Access Team on a permanent full-time basis, working our operational business hours from 8am to 4:06pm, Monday to Friday. The role is based on site at our Richmond campus. Please note, you will be required to work onsite in this role, there is no capability to support working from home in this role.

**Responsibilities include**:
Assessing requests for information when received to ascertain whether appropriate authority has been provided to access the requested documentation

Invoicing and taking payments for requests

Registering all requests on the internal MedicoLegal database, and maintaining accurate and complete record-keeping for all requests received

Ensuring that legislated timeframes are complied with in accordance with the Health Records Act 2001 and any other relevant legislation

Reviewing and assessing duplicate UR numbers for merging

Exporting and sending of patient records where there an agreement in place with a public hospital in accordance with agreed timeframes

**You will ideally have**:
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders

Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to effectively manage the number of requests received and accurate record-keeping

Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines

Effective written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner, and an ability to clearly and coherently convey relevant information to all stakeholders, both internal and external to Epworth

Intermediate working knowledge of the Microsoft Outlook Suite (primarily Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel)

A solid work ethic, and an ability to work autonomously within a team in order to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner

Proven high attention to detail and diligence to ensure correct patient information is released at all times

Flexibility in a changing work environment with an openness to changing processes and procedures

A collaborative working style willing to work closely with various stakeholders to find solutions to workplace challenge
