**Why your role matters**

Reporting directly to the Manager, Admissions Operations, you will play a key part in driving efficiency, fostering a collaborative team environment, and supporting the university's student admissions goals.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

- Manage, lead and develop direct reports and casual staff within an environment that promotes respect, accountability, quality service and facilities, and fosters initiative and innovation.
- Supervise, allocate, manage and monitor the workload of the team daily and over the longer term (yearly cycle).
- Liaise with other Admission Team Leaders to ensure selection decisions are fair, consistent, transparent and in line with University policy and external regulations.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships and effective communication channels with faculties to ensure team members and the relevant faculties are provided with the most up to date admissions information available.

**About You**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification and 5 years’ experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Proven ability to train and develop staff to deliver a high level of service, to lead and motivate a team, and influence staff that are not direct reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience successfully dealing with a variety of stakeholders from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Highly developed customer service skills with an innovative approach to go the extra mile.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an organised, accurate manner with excellent attention to detail and experience with large-volume and peak processing periods/workflows.
- Demonstrated capacity to contribute positively to and accept change in a dynamic working environment.

**This role requires availability to work over Christmas/New Year period and occasional weekend and after-hours work.**
