We’re on the lookout for a **high-energy** and experienced **Business Development Lead (BDL)** to join our fast-growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the Australian construction industry, particularly with experience in construction supply chains or as a former construction business owner. You’ll be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening relationships with suppliers, tradespeople, and key industry players.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and secure new business opportunities with construction suppliers, partners, and tradespeople.
- Lead negotiations and establish long-term partnerships to grow the company’s presence in the construction tech market.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop strategies for market expansion, supplier engagement, and customer acquisition.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the construction sector.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and other networking opportunities.
- Develop and implement a sales pipeline to ensure sustainable growth in both new and existing markets.
- Provide insights into industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to help shape the product roadmap.
- Utilise CRM software to manage client relationships and track business development activities.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in a senior role within the Australian construction industry (supplier, contractor, or business owner).
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or partnerships.
- High energy, self-driven, and motivated to succeed.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, supply chains, and industry trends.
- A well-established network of contacts within the construction industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead business development initiatives.
- Experience with tech platforms or digital solutions is an advantage, but not essential.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
