Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:
For this position, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal person, or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
The position of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker will:
function as a member of the CHS CHCS team to deliver holistic, effective, clinically relevant, and culturally safe care in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
works alongside the CABS team supporting family-centred, culturally safe and appropriate service pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, this includes engaging with maternity providers, triage and first clinical management of referrals.
provides clinical and cultural leadership for the Advanced Health Workers in CHS across the Greater Brisbane area.
