Our client is a market leading player in the design and installation of bespoke entrance solutions for all industries across Australia and also the globe. Due to growth they are seeking to employ an experienced BDM to join their Sydney sales team. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the household names in the performance doors space.
**Role**
As the Business Development Manager for NSW your primary responsibility is to drive sales revenue and state growth, targeting the commercial clients such as the builders, developers, some consulting engineers & fabricators in Sydney. You will also play a critical role in stakeholder management on a project basis, therefore a good understanding the major contractors and end-users is advantageous. Projects will include major commercial developments in the healthcare, manufacturing, hospitality and transport industries to name just a few. With a strong internal support function within the business, this role also comes with a lot of resources to lean on to ensure you are given all the tools to succeed. This role will be a combination of key accounts to oversee, as well as having new business responsibilities.
**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have experience in the following;
- Experience selling a technical building solution in Australia
- A strong contact base of commercial builders, engineers & contractors that can be leveraged
- Experienced in servicing similar sectors and their facilities is highly desirable
- A driven/hunter mentality and previous experience with developing a defined territory
- Previous track record of sales achievement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new product lines quickly
