**About this role**

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Maintenance and Asset Officer to support our Asset Management team across the Southeast Queensland region.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting stock condition assessments, budget forecasting, and data management within the Housing Services portfolio. Your time will be split between fieldwork and office-based tasks, ensuring asset data remains current and accurate while overseeing facilities maintenance activities.

Responsibilities, whilst not limited to, will include
- Conduct stock condition surveys and post-maintenance inspections.
- Maintain up-to-date asset data to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in budget forecasting and planned maintenance scheduling.
- Perform site safety assessments to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Manage a cyclical maintenance calendar to ensure compliant asset upkeep.
- Liaise with external contractors and issue work orders.
- A garaged-at-home pool vehicle will be provided for work-related travel between sites.

Key Attributes & Experience
- Experience in facilities management and maintenance.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast Queensland region.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Experience in the social housing industry (highly regarded).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset management software.

**Essential requirements**
- Diploma qualification in asset management and administration or an equivalent level of expertise and experience.
- Current drivers licence

**Possess or willingness to obtain**
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
