**About the role**
The Area Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing technical and practical support to maintenance teams across all service streams in a nominated area. It is a central position in managing compliance, budgets and providing professional stakeholder customer service.
In this role you will:
- Develop and oversee a preventative and ongoing maintenance service plan for facilities and undertake unplanned/corrective maintenance;
- In collaboration with Service Managers, co-ordinate and oversee facilities and grounds maintenance teams and services ensuring that stakeholder expectations, regulatory requirements, workplace safety and industry standards are met and that infection control processes are followed;
- In collaboration with Service Managers, co-ordinate and supervise maintenance and refurbishment works in client homes;
- Research and maintain systems and processes that maximise accuracy, functionality of equipment and maintenance practices, productivity and efficiency; make recommendations for the adoption of best practice initiatives and implement;
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and address issues with contractors and suppliers;
- Assist in budget development, work to agreed budget, manage expenditure, monitor asset and stock levels and conduct an annual audit of buildings to inform capital budgeting.
Please note, it is a requirement for this role to travel between sites from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, Churches of Christ will provide a co contribution vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and iPad.
**Renumeration for this role is $77,800 - $82,900 commensurate with experience.**
**About you**
You will be an experienced maintenance supervisor with a high attention to detail, who takes a customer centric approach to your role. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, along with managing your team.
In order to be successful in this role, your skills knowledge and experience are as follows.
Essential:
- Degree/Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience/skills;
- Applied knowledge of legislation relevant to maintenance services, including demonstrated operational achievement of accreditation standards;
- Minimum three years' experience providing maintenance services in a highly regulated service environment;
- Demonstrated experience using computer-based asset management system;
- Trade qualifications would be highly regarded;
- Current driver's licence;
- A current National Police Certificate - or the ability to acquire.
