**Description**:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role’s primary responsibility is the day to day running of the NSW production facility to ensure that the highest food safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. The focus is on leading the production team to be effective and guiding them to successfully delivery daily requirements whilst driving improvements in safety and quality. It is also critical that this role creates a positive culture with the broader team driving the message of accountability and responsibility for performance.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:
Development of production plans to ensure production, efficiency and quality targets are met
Develop the production schedule which outlines the sequence that portions and day bagging occurs with every menu change
Plan, monitor and analyse shift performance and key metrics to identify operational opportunities, trends, and potential cost-saving improvements and continuously assess and evaluate production methods and processes ensuring continuous improvement and enhancement in production performance and productivity
Ensure a safe work environment, by driving a safety culture, overseeing workplace safety inspections and incident investigations, ensuring every incident is appropriately investigated, actioned and closed out
Drive a customer-first environment focused on and committed to delivering the highest quality product to our customers ensuring all employees follow industry standard health and food safety guidelines
Lead the production team on a day to day basis and develop the skills and capabilities of supervisors and team leaders to effectively lead production teams

**Skills and Experiences**:
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Extensive experience in a production or manufacturing management role
Expert knowledge of fresh food production / logistics
Thorough understanding of cold chain, food safety and quality systems
Strong and proven experience leading teams in excess of 100 people
Understanding of continuous improvement / lean principles
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast paced environment
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office suite
Must have the ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including early morning, night, weekend and holiday shifts as required
Experience in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, Minitab, SigmaPlot)
Business related tertiary qualifications are desirable
