With the increased demand on water, the need for innovative technology couldn’t be greater. **About the role** We are looking for an experienced and versatile Production Technician to join our Production team based at our Kemps Creek branch. In this role you will be assembling, striping, repairing, testing and inspecting Xylem and associated companies’ pumps and products. You will work closely with the Assembly team (Production planners and other Technicians) to ensure optimal flow of inventory and resources in the workshop, you will be Ex Flameproof certified to be able to work to regulation and safety requirements. Your role will consist of: - Completing production assemblies accurately and quickly according to work order instructions. - Inspecting and testing products prior to dispatch to customers - Reading, interpreting and retaining, instructions and technical drawings - Managing workshop supplies and inventory on and off jobs, to maintain the accuracy of system inventory - Executing EX flameproof pump jobs routed through production team - Implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives in the workshop, to improve quality, safety, speed or cost - Maintaining documentation and reports consistent with company policies, procedures and safety requirements - Providing timely and accurate advice and support to staff and customers **Skills and experience** - Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and interest in developing your skills - Trade Qualification - Role would suit people from electrical trades, fitter and turner, mech fitter, mechanic or small engine mechanic - Electrical or Ex Flameproof certified would be an advantage - A strong understanding of pumps and associated product assembly, within a pumping related industry - Organised, detail oriented, and can work in teams or independently - Great communication and interpersonal skills **Benefits** - Training and career development - Subsidised Health Insurance - Company funded income protection - Work life balance 7am 3.30pm Mon to Thurs and 7am to 1pm Fridays? - Opportunity to grow your career with a global, industry leader - Join a positive and encouraging work environment - Approachable management that highly value your input and experience - Attractive salary package, bonus and ongoing employee benefits - Opportunity to make a difference and become part of Xylems volunteer program “Watermark” **How to apply** To grow your career with a global, industry leader please click **APPLY** to become part of a loyal, hardworking team and join us on our journey to solve water
