**Description**:
About your role
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to optimise products, drive revenue growth, and enhance the overall customer experience.
**Your key responsibilities are**:
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for Rhino-Rack Platforms and accessories, aligning with overall business objectives.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
Work closely with the merchandising team to select and curate products that meet customer needs and are competitive in the marketplace.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective product positioning, messaging, and promotional strategies.
Manage a diverse and appealing product category that meets the unique needs and desires of adventure and travel enthusiasts.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate terms, pricing, and exclusive partnerships.
Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from product selection and introduction to inventory management and clearance strategies.
Monitor and optimise inventory levels to minimise stockouts and excess inventory.
Monitor category performance and make recommendations to optimize product offerings, pricing, and promotion.
Set and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Gather customer feedback and use insights to make data-driven decisions for category improvement.
Ensure that all products comply with relevant regulations and quality standards.
Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to uphold the Rhino-Rack standards.
**Skills and Experiences**:
Key skills and requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in category management, preferably in the consumer product, adventure and travel industries (minimum of 5 years).
Strong understanding of adventure and travel market trends and consumer behaviour.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Passion for innovation and a customer-centric mindset.
A love for adventure and travel is highly desirable.
