- **An exciting opportunity in the newly established South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI)**

Part-time hours will be considered and depending on the level of experience, the role can either be at the Officer level (HEO8), or Manager level (HEO9).

SAiGENCI is a medical research institute within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences in an alliance with the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. With an explicitly translational remit, the purpose of the new institute is to focus on cancer research and clinical trials that will bring new cutting-edge technologies in immunotherapies and genomics to Adelaide, leading to better treatments and outcomes for cancer patients in South Australia. The Institute also collaborates externally, with likeminded centres of excellence across the globe, delivering world-class and life-changing treatments and outcomes for cancer patients.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Assist to conceptualise, plan, coordinate and support the development of selected large-scale research programs led by key researchers (and research teams).
- Develop effective communication and working relationships with staff at all levels of the organisation, and external to it, in order to support grant development and submission of major research initiatives.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Demonstrated ability to assist in the writing, editing and development of research proposals, business plans and promotional materials.
- Demonstrated ability to act with initiative under broad direction to undertake a range of complex tasks and competing demands with mínimal direct supervision and within tight time constraints.
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity and sound judgement.
- Proven analytical, research and writing skills to enable the effective synthesis of complex information and data from multiple sources, and the provision of high quality, evidence based content.
- Experience of working effectively in a team environment.
