People Services (VPS) Branch is responsible for the provision of support and advice to the corporate workforce in the areas of payroll, staff administration and recruitment services.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Work full-time from Monday to Friday around Australian business hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (AEST). This HR Administrator role will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Manage and/or support recruitment, selection and career promotion processes
- Prepare job description, contracts and conditions of employment
- Manage payroll
- Analyse staffing needs to determine training & development requirements
- Handle office tasks and other duties that support business operations
- Report writing, collating and distributing documents; track and manage employee absence records
- May be involved in onboarding and orientation for new starters
- Maintain an up-to-date level of knowledge about the Client's policies and procedures
The division is comprised of four branches:
- People Services
- Policy, Workplace Relations and Business Partnering
- Workforce Strategy
- Working Places Strategy and Design
**Your experience**
The role demands professionalism, organisation, and strong attention to detail:
- Minimum 1 year experience in similar roles: HR Payroll
- Previous experience in HR and with HR software is a plus
- The ability to communicate, written and verbally, clearly and effectively with all levels of internal staff and external clients
- Experience in a high-paced environment
- Proficient/clear communication skills
- Great English language proficiency (spoken and written)
