**The role**:

Reporting to General Manager Governance, Facilities & Economy the main objective of this role is to coordinate the activities of the Risk, Health & Safety Team to ensure that the organisation's corporate and strategic directions are accomplished in a manner which provides optimum outcomes derived from compliance with relevant legislation, best practice concepts, and a high level of professional expertise.
The role will also facilitate and foster a proactive risk management and safety culturethrough the development of policies, systems, programs and processes.

**Role responsibilities**:
- Provide specialist advice on all aspects of portfolio, including: OHS Committees, Audit and Risk Committees, Workcover matters to leaders and employees, recommendations to senior management on insurance cover, insurance renewals, portfolio and claims management, business continuity management and fraud, corruption detection and awareness
- Provide advice, leadership, mentoring and support to staff
- Coordinate and conduct internal OH &S audits and risk audits
- Manage business units reporting requirements such as target achievements in our clients OHS Plan, OHS Management reports, regular compliance risk reporting with trend analysis and corrective actions, WorkCover reports with trends analysis, budget reports to
the General Manager Governance, Facilities & Economy
- Manage implementation, maintenance, review and compliance of our clients’s OHS and Risk systems, policies, procedures, committees and training needs
- Support the organisation's leadership team to ensure that all incidents are investigated, reports submitted, and corrective actions identified and implemented
- Present at appropriate forums such as Operations toolbox meetings to share information and educate employees and Managers on their responsibilities in respect to health and safety
**To be considered for the above opportunities**:
- Previous experience with Risk Management and OH&S programs, preferably within a diverse service environment
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Risk Management and OH&S is essential
- Construction Induction Card
- WorkSafe approved Return to Work Coordinator Course
