**Certificate III in Commercial Cookery**

Work & Training together with our amazing Host Business is pleased to offer this full-time Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

Based in a large health care setting in the split between the Hobart CBD and Cambridge, the successful applicant will receive training and support to become a valued member of this enthusiastic customer focussed team, while learning the fundamentals of food preparation, service and general kitchen related duties.

**What would this involve?**
- You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your apprenticeship.
- Working a roster that can include weekend work.
- Theory training is conducted one-on-one in the workplace with experience trainers.
- Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and support.
- On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification which can be used in hospitality and catering venues across Australia

**Learn how to**:

- Assist the kitchen staff with food preparation and organisation.
- Understand the basic methods of cooking.
- Prepare and present simple dishes.
- Develop safe work practices.
- Follow hygienic practices and safe food handling.
- Order stock and develop stock rotation and storage systems.
- Deliver great customer service.

**It is important that you**:

- have a genuine interest in Hospitality;
- are passionate about providing exceptional customer service;
- are confident in your excellent communication skills;
- can work well in a busy team environment;
- have a practical hands-on approach to tasks; and
- can demonstrate a good work ethic.

This position would be an excellent entry level pathway for someone interested in pursuing a cooking career.
