We are offering: - A permanent, full-time opportunity, Hobart, Tasmania based - Work life balance; our kitchen operates between 6.30am – 7pm for normal meal services (functions and remote site camp catering may be different), and you will generally get every second weekend rostered off, subject to operational requirements and staffing. - Free Parking - VenPerks; access to loads of discounts The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: - Ensure efficient preparation and delivery of meal services - Abide to Ventia's Food Safety Program - Participate in stock take and inventory control activities - Clean, sanitise and maintain equipment, furniture and premises, ensuring all required repairs and maintenance are reported. Skills & Experience: - Commercial Cookery Certificate III, or above (or equivalent) - Previous experience in a large commercial kitchen & fast paced environment - Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations - Strong planning and organisation skills As per contractrual requirements, you will need to pass a police check and medical and be an Australian Citizen.
