The Role

Opportunity to grow with an expanding local business. Contact group are expanding their presence in HVAC&R industry in Hobart with multiple government contracts and a varied project base. This role would see you working on hydronic heating systems, heating hot water, chilled water systems and air handling systems with our highly skilled team.

By joining us as a Mechanical Services Plumber in the HVAC Division you will be required to work Monday to Friday although the opportunity for some weekend and after-hours work may be available on an Ad-Hoc basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Commercial HVAC installations
  • Replacement of HVAC plumbing infrastructure
  • Supervision of apprentices
  • Fault diagnostic works including maintenance and refurbishment
  • Reporting of work carried out in our digital Job management system

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

  • Experienced in HVAC plumbing installations, commercial works, maintenance and repairs
  • Competent person with excellent people skills and a clean and tidy presentation
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Ability to use app-based programs

Minimum requirements:

  • A minimum of two (2) years' post apprenticeship experience in a similar role
  • Practitioner's license
  • A current car driver's license
  • White card

Desirable:

  • Gas would be highly desirable but not essential
  • TMV (desirable)
  • Restricted Electrical (desirable)
  • ARC licence (desirable)
