**Investigator - Liquor & Gaming NSW**
- An exciting and challenging opportunity to work with Liquor & Gaming NSW within the Investigations Team.
- Clerk Grade 5/6 with starting salary range of $99,938 - $110,271 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Full time Ongoing role based in Parramatta - Hybrid working arrangements may be available within business operational needs.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will administer authorised legislation through effective, risk-based investigative and enforcement activities to protect the public, businesses, and communities in NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake compliance and investigation activities through risk-based regulatory programs to ensure and improve compliance across various industries.
- Support and participate in proactive compliance operations, educating industry participants on their rights and obligations, while monitoring and ensuring compliance.
- Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders to optimise regulatory outcomes and minimise negative impacts.
- Advise customers on investigation outcomes, keeping them informed of any actions being taken.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and procedures to ensure exemplary regulatory practices for the NSW community.
- Gather, review, and analyse evidence, preparing and maintaining comprehensive records, documents, and reports to recommend appropriate actions to decision-makers and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Proven experience in conducting formal investigations or working in a similar regulatory or compliance field.
- A strong understanding of legislation, policy, and procedures in relevant industries.

**Essential requirements**
- Certificate IV (Government) Investigations or similar qualification or the preparedness to undertake employee sponsored program.
- The ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout NSW.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.
