**The Role**
The Surveillance Systems Branch in Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic person to undertake analysis, develop algorithms and conduct research in support of integrated sensing and surveillance for the Australian Defence Force. Using the strengths from your background, you will develop and assess novel processing techniques for automatic tracking, fusion and target recognition algorithms that can deliver improved exploitation of multi-sensor data.
Under guidance, duties of the Integrated Sensing Researcher will include:
- Undertake development of multi-sensor tracking, sensor fusion and target recognition algorithms to enable future integrated ISR capabilities for the ADF.
- Investigate Machine Learning techniques to advance conventional tracking and ATR capabilities.
- Transition innovative algorithms from offline research software to real-time operational demonstrators in the tactical environment.
- Develop improved capabilities for surveillance data processing and its integration within a network of distributed surveillance assets.

One of the key roles of the Sensor Systems Analysis team is conduct to develop and demonstrate multi-sensor tracking, sensor fusion and target recognition algorithms for integrated sensing capabilities.
